Lina Maria Avendano

Lina Maria Avendano is a Colombian/Canadian whose passion for art, literature, and design along with her love for beauty and functionality combine perfectly through her creation of functional objects.

In 2004, Lina began her studies in Industrial Design at the Pontificia Bolivariana University (UPB)- Colombia. It was through these studies that she found the magic she could create through jewellery. In 2015, Lina graduated from the three year Jewellery Arts program at George Brown College (GBC). 

Her jewellery work has been exhibited at UPB Salon Exhibition (Medellin, Colombia), The Art Gallery of Burlington, Craft Ontario, Tiff, SNAG public and digital shows, Fashion Ecstasy, Fashion Magazine Canada and CJ Jeweller Magazine and Obánj Artisan Spotlight. She has given lectures about 3D printing and how it is changing the landscape for jewellery design and making for the University of Medellin, and The University of Pontificia Bolivarian.
