I studied Sculpture, as well as Metalsmithing and Jewellery Design at NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Upon graduating with a BFA in 2010, I completed a summer residency at the Centre for Craft Nova Scotia. Soon after, it was time to indulge another passion of mine: travel. While living in Melbourne I began working on the early designs for my own line of fine jewellery, called “Sticks vs Stone”, which I established in 2016 after my return to Canada.
My designs are an intuitive interplay of elements from the natural world, the ever changing trends of fashion jewellery, and the motifs of opulent jewels of past epochs. Above all, the element of play, and the process of making itself inform the final design.
