MinSeo Whee is a Toronto-based metalsmith. She holds a Bachelor of Design with Distinction in Material Art & Design from OCAD University, where she developed a distinctive interdisciplinary practice that blends traditional Korean techniques with digital fabrication, vibrant colour, and contemporary materials.
Her work explores memory, emotional connection, and personal storytelling through sculptural jewellery. Drawing on her fine art background, MinSeo treats metal surfaces like miniature canvases—layering colour, texture, and form to create poetic, wearable objects. She employs diverse techniques including silver inlay, chasing, 3D scanning and printing, hand painting, and mixed-media construction.
MinSeo works under her emerging brand Jewelize, specializing in custom, narrative-driven jewellery. Her pieces often incorporate found objects, personal symbols, and modular clasp systems that allow wearers to build evolving collections. Jewelize reflects her guiding motto: “Wear an idea. Memory made tangible.”
