Alicia is a jewellery artist based in Toronto, specializing in pieces that explore the detail and complexity of the natural world through metalwork. Graduating from Ryerson’s School of Interior Design, Alicia ventured into the world of film, set design in particular. After almost a decade in the industry, Alicia decided to pursue her passion for making and has recently graduated from Fleming College at the Haliburton School of Art and Design with a certificate in their accelerated Jewellery Essentials program.
Being able to showcase her interest in the subtle geometric details of our surrounding environment got her inspiration flowing. Working primarily in silver, Alicia utilizes the use of raw and found materials to create pieces that are both meaningful and elegant. Her work has been featured in the HSAD’s ‘we made it’ exhibition. Driven by a passion for respecting the natural world, her aim is to create wearable art that represents the detail and variation of life from nature.
