Robin’s first love was science, although goldsmithing has long been a competitor for her affections. Her journey started with a local course, and a bench in the corner of her bedroom, and has brought her to Jewel Envy, and a second (or is that third or fourth??) career. After living in the United Kingdom for 18 years, she has recently returned to Toronto.
Her designs are informed by shape, line, and texture, often drawing inspiration from nature from the micro to the macroscopic. A bit of her other love (textiles) also sometimes creeps into her designs.
Robin enjoys the challenge of taking on commissions and blending the client’s ideas with her own unique style to create the perfect finished piece. Her jewellery is marketed under the name House of Cassady.
