I want to create a pendant and eventually learn how to make similar designs to set up my own Etsy shop. Would the workshop coming in November be appropriate?

Yes this would be a good introduction to carving wax designs. In class one you carve your designs, your instructor casts them during the week and then in class 2 you learn how to finish the pieces using a variety of tools and techniques based on your individual designs.
